SKU 01 • THE BRIEF
The brief
Nature In Bottle sells essential oils, carrier oils, absolutes and hydrosols in bulk to formulators, soap makers, spas and cosmetic brands — from offices in New York, Lyon and New Delhi. Its buyers are professionals: they need the botanical name, CAS and INCI numbers before they need a photo, they buy by the kilo as well as the bottle, and they pay in their own currency. An off-the-shelf store template could not carry that.

The idea
We built the store from scratch in PHP on CodeIgniter, so the catalogue could work the way a formulator thinks. Every product page carries its technical data — botanical name, CAS, EINECS and INCI numbers, product code, origin, part used and note classification — with tiered pack sizes from 50 ml to 5 kg. Prices convert across 14 currencies. And a custom blending tool lets customers search ingredients by name, botanical name, product code, INCI, CAS or EINECS number, build their own blend and order it, with each formulation kept confidential.

The shelf result
The result is a wholesale catalogue that behaves like a reference library and a shop at once: eight product ranges, more than 230 essential oils alone, accounts, cart, reviews, a downloadable catalogue and an organic-certification page — one codebase the business owns outright, with no platform fees and no plugin it cannot control.
