Still on a page builder? You're paying for code you never use.

Most slow sites aren't slow by accident. They load a theme, a page builder and twenty plugins to show five pages of text. Astro sends only the HTML a page needs, and Tailwind sends only the styles it uses — nothing else crosses the wire.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Fast by default, not by plugin.

  • Astro site — static HTML, built for speed and search
  • Tailwind CSS design system in your brand tokens
  • Content you can edit in Markdown or a headless CMS
  • Schema, sitemap, llms.txt and meta built in
  • Images converted to WebP and sized for every screen
  • GA4, Tag Manager and consent mode wired
  • Forms straight into your CRM, with spam protection
  • Launch, handover and training for your team

Speed is a feature. Ownership is another.

Astro renders every page to plain HTML at build time and only adds JavaScript where something genuinely needs to move. Tailwind strips every style a page doesn't use. The result: small pages, fast first paint, nothing for a visitor's phone to chew through.

Both are open source under the MIT licence — no licence fees, no vendor lock-in, and the code is yours. Six of our builds are on the official Astro showcase, including this site, which passes Core Web Vitals with a 2.1-second mobile LCP and zero layout shift.

What is Astro?

Astro is an open-source web framework for content-driven websites. It builds each page into plain HTML ahead of time and adds JavaScript only to the parts that need it, which keeps pages small and fast. It is MIT-licensed, so it is free to use and the code you get is yours.

Is Astro better than WordPress?

For speed and security, usually yes: an Astro site is static HTML with no database or admin login to attack. WordPress still wins when a large team edits content daily or needs a specific plugin. We build both and recommend based on who edits the site and how often.

Why Tailwind CSS?

Tailwind turns your brand's colours, type and spacing into a small set of design tokens, and only the styles a page actually uses end up in the final CSS. That keeps stylesheets tiny and the design consistent across every page. Like Astro, it is open source under the MIT licence.

Are Astro and Tailwind really free?

Yes. Both are open source under the MIT licence — no licence fees, no per-site charges, and no vendor that can raise the price later. You pay for design and development; the tools themselves cost nothing.

Can I edit an Astro site myself?

Yes. Simple sites keep content in Markdown files we can set up for you to edit, and larger ones connect a headless CMS so your team edits through a familiar dashboard. Either way, you never touch the code.

Is an Astro website good for SEO and AI search?

Yes. Every page arrives as complete HTML, so search engines and AI assistants can read it without running any JavaScript. We add metadata, schema, sitemaps and an llms.txt file to every build, so your pages are easy to rank, quote and cite.

Can you move our WordPress site to Astro without losing rankings?

Yes. We inventory every URL, map redirects, carry over titles, descriptions and schema, then monitor rankings after launch. Lost rankings after a rebuild almost always come from skipped redirects, and we do not skip them.

How much does an Astro website cost?

It depends on scope — a five-page business site and a content-heavy site with a CMS and integrations are different builds. You only pay for what is required, nothing more. Share your brief and we'll prepare a scope-based proposal within one working day.
