PACKAGING · BEVERAGES

Beverage packaging design.

Beverages are bought cold, fast and often one-handed. The pack has to read from a cooler door at an angle, in bad light, next to a competitor doing the same thing. We design tea cartons, juice packs, energy formats and instant sachets for that moment rather than for a flat mockup.

WHAT WE DESIGN HERE

Every format in the aisle.

Tea and instant mixes

Loose leaf, tulsi blends, instant sachets and ready cups. Tea is sold on origin and provenance more than any other beverage, so the estate name and the leaf grade earn their place on the front — and a sachet has perhaps four square centimetres to say it in.

Juice, dairy-adjacent and fruit drinks

Fruit-first, always. A juice carton that leads with the brand and buries the fruit is arguing the wrong case. Cans and cartons also have to survive a chiller — condensation, abrasion and the stack — so finish choice is a design decision, not a print one.

Energy and functional

This category is allowed to be loud, which is exactly why most of it disappears. Loud only works when everything around it is quiet; we build contrast into the range architecture so each variant has a job rather than competing with its own siblings. Functional claims add a second problem — the benefit has to be stated in a way that survives both a sceptical shopper and a regulator reading the same words.

Declarations, and where they go

Beverages carry more mandatory information per square centimetre than almost any other pack: net quantity, ingredients, additive classes, the veg or non-veg mark, best-before, batch, and the manufacturer address. On a 200ml sachet that is most of the available surface. We lay the declaration block out first and design the front around what is genuinely left, which is the opposite of how most packs get made and the reason so many go back for a reprint.

Range architecture that survives growth

Almost every beverage brand adds a flavour within eighteen months. A pack designed for three variants and stretched to eight starts to look accidental — the colours run out, the hierarchy breaks, and the newest SKU is the one that looks wrong. We design the system with the fourth and fifth variant already accounted for, so adding one is a decision about colour rather than a redesign.

HOW WE PRICE

Scope first, then a number.

You only pay for what is required, nothing more. Send the brief — SKU count, formats, whether a range has to stretch later — and we will come back with a scope-based proposal within one working day.

FAQ

Asked and answered.

How much does beverage packaging design cost?

It is scoped to the work — a single label is a different brief from a range spanning cans, cartons and sachets. You only pay for what is required, nothing more. Share your brief and we will prepare a scope-based proposal within one working day.

Do you design for cans, cartons and pouches in the same range?

Yes, and the differences matter more than they look. A design that works on a flat carton distorts on a can and creases on a sachet. We build the system so each format carries the brand without any of them looking like an afterthought.

Can you handle a range with many flavour variants?

That is the normal case in beverages. The work is a colour and hierarchy system that lets a shopper find their flavour instantly while the range still reads as one brand from three metres away.

Do you handle FSSAI and Legal Metrology declarations for drinks?

Yes. Net quantity, ingredient and additive declarations, the veg or non-veg mark and the FSSAI licence number are planned into the layout from the first round. On small formats such as sachets and single-serve cups this is the constraint that shapes the whole design, so it is settled before any front-of-pack work begins.

What do you need from us to start?

The SKU list with net quantities, the formats you print on, the carton or pouch structure if it is already specified, and any variants you expect to add later. If the structure is not settled yet we will work to a standard and adjust once your converter confirms.
